Updated bike log entry. No images or video yet, but the text is there for you folks out there who seem to like reading this crap.

Putting the dragon bike on the atkins diet. (Carbs part 1 and such)

Don’t let the title fool you, there is more than just carb speak in there. Now I get to boot back into XP *gag* and work on the video shit again.

Where oh where has the Hudson man gone, or where or where could he be..

Filed under: Random news — Hudson @ 2:05 am

Just a short update, i got the carbs tore down and checked then rebuilt, i found our culprit from the last chapter of ther dragon bike log.

Just to test something, I decided to do this one in video format, since it could be fun to do one that way (and thats what this is all about, after all), working on getitg it all edited together and nice looking, then I’ll post it, but for those of you who dont like vids, it will also have a text post also to go with it.

Oh, and this time the gang got into the video work (okay, with a few twinkies for bait), but they really handled the video and stills pretty well, i think this video could turn out kind of nice.

Just posting this so you don’t think i like..died, or something.

Yet another chapter..sort of.

Filed under: Dragon Bike Worklog — Hudson @ 5:29 am

Okay, so its not a very enthralling entry, I had a bad day of it. But you an hear all about it in the bike log journal trackrecord whatever thing.

Todays chapter: Cooking with gas…or not.

On the upside of this chapter, I already found a great online parts distributor who I will probably be mentioning in future entrys, they have *everything* and then *anything* ontop of that, in massive numbers.

See, this is what I get for not reading the entire codex. Seems WP has a xmlrpc system in it that lets you post remotely with client tools and happy horse crap like that. It’s intended for the WP’s owner to be able to post without having to use the website itself, cool idea, even if i’m not too keen on xmlrpc myself.

Thats great and all, but I’m not too keen on people posting comments, remotely, on pages (not posts, pages) with comments TURNED OFF on them, and the posting IP being recorded as my webservers local IP. i’m also not too keen on the fact that the ‘logging’ built into this php file is set to ../blahblah.log, which makes things a pain as it is if you install wp in your docroot. (because ../ is outside of it, and you probably don’t have perms set there for the webserver. which by the time you notice and need the log file, it’s not there because it was set to a stupid location by default, and the file couldnt be created or written even if it was there. :P) also not keen, what, no admin ability to turn off that script on the interface? Thats not keen!
I’m also not too keen on the poster being the gramar and spelling nazi type. Look, if i really gave that mch of a shit how perfect my typing was, I’d get an editor. but thanks for the effort either way, whoever you were. Feel free to come back and enjoy more of my abuse of the english language anytime. but you will need to come in and comment like a normal user, I removed the xmlrpc.php file. ;)

I guess i’m not a very keen person. Oh well, so much for me being a catchy web-comic or something.

The (unsightly) belly of the beast.

Filed under: Dragon Bike Worklog — Hudson @ 5:41 pm

The belly of this beast is a mite unsighty, take a look at step one down the restoration of this bike.

Give the dragons belly a BATH.

Kicking the stubborn dragon back to life.

Filed under: Dragon Bike Worklog — Hudson @ 3:15 am

Ever hear the old addage ‘let sleeping dogs lay’?

Here is another one, ‘You can’t wake a sleeping dragon.’ , well, that is unless you know how to kick them just right.

Oh yeah, I moved my entire website over to a backup directory. I’ll get the stuff back up after a bit - Some will be posted, some will just be thrown back in a directory where you will find it again where you normally would, others will be shot off into space to protect us from space-dwelling monster turd-asteroids, etc.

You have been serv-, er, told, Don’t email me asking where shit went! :P

Yes, I have a blog-like site now.

Yes, you should be afraid.

Yes, I downloaded this theme, but mainly because the fuckheads claiming to have ‘made’ it (some bullshit download spyware website that cranked out a fuckton of theme designs(???)), and they ‘made’ it look exactly (not almost exactly, EXACTLY) like a web-design I did for somebody else. No credit? They went under, Webdesigner probably didn’t give a shit anyways. Big suprize.

Thanks for converting it, whoever you were, I’ll take my design back now, kthxbye. Oh, and PS, you didn’t make a complete theme you lazy ass,now I have to go on and finish it so the whole site looks right. No wonder you people went out of business, well, aside from that whole ‘we infect peoples computers with enough adware and spyware to make the trojan horse look like a my little pony.’ thing you had going on.

I might make a version of the prompt theme from the ketnar.org site and drag it over here, i like that theme, dunno why, I had alot of fun making it and its got the whole *nix..console..thing…whatever,going on.

I’ll move on from that and on to something much more fun. I’ve finaly taken a little time to setup a real website, I just don’t have time to write out pages manually anymore..Hell, I’m probably so far behind on the *ML standards right now it would be a nightmare anyways. so, in comes a content system. It’s not a nuke, thank god, its wordpress. I’m in love.

I’ll have some fun stuff up here soon, now that i’m not cranking out each and every little line of code by hand. Man, wow, my own personal ‘blog’, my bitching and rating at the world at large and its large worldly idiots, and project logs, photographs, whatever else I feel like posting. like..Uhm..random naked pictures of your dear and beloved family members, yeah.

Whatever - just wait, I’ll do something neat, I promise….just after I install a spell checker on this thing, jesus. Aspell anyone? C’mon..
